MDD2 Manual Direct Drive for Danfoss PVG valves
The Manual Direct Drive MDD2 module is developed to control a Danfoss PVG32 or PVG120 valve manually with 2 relais by means of 2 adjustable setpoints. By doing this the valve will obtain a fixed value for the A-gate or the B-gate.
The supply voltage will be provided to the the input of a valve by means of an external relais, so with a digital output on the PLC an analogue supply will be transmitted to the input of the valve.
See the figure below.
The degree of control is seperately adjustable for both the A-gate and the B-gate.
The unit is suitable to control one valve.
Practice
Sometimes the hydraulic pressure you need is rather fixed and the functions you prefer would be: “on” and “off” or “up”, “down” and “stop”.
This black/white control often needs a pressure which can be adjusted as a “fixed” value. For such kind of situations the MDD2 Manual Direct Drive, is suitable with 3 constant outputs.
Setting range
The supply voltage on de UP output is adjustable between 50% to 75% of the power supply.
At a power supply of 12V the output is adjustable between 6 and 9V.
At a power supply of 24V the output is adjustable between 12 and 18V.
The supply voltage on the DOWN output is adjustable between 25% to 50% of the power supply.
At a power supply of 12V the output is adjustable between 3 and 6V.
At a power supply of 24V the output is adjustable between 6 and 12V.
At the STOP clamp is present 50% of the power supply and this is not variable. When this supply voltage is offered to the valve, then this will go to the middle mode.
